Mtskheta - One Day Trip

Scenic Journey from Tbilisi – a pleasant 30–40 minute drive through modern Tbilisi, picturesque villages, green landscapes, and mountain scenery. Highlights of the tour:

Jvari Monastery – our first stop, perched high above the valley. Dating back to the 5th–6th centuries, it offers breathtaking views of the point where the Mtkvari and Aragvi Rivers meet.

Mtskheta – continue to the ancient city and explore its historic center.

Svetitskhoveli Cathedral – one of Georgia’s most important religious monuments, where Georgian kings were crowned and buried and where major Orthodox ceremonies are still held.

Charming Old Streets – stroll through the beautifully restored pedestrian streets of Mtskheta, filled with cozy cafés, local shops, and traditional architecture.

Local Market – discover authentic Georgian flavours, including churchkhela, local honey, homemade wine, and other traditional products.
